Indescribable

God is real. And He cannot be contained. (Thank God!)

Don't we often try to conform Him into our image, our ideas, our expectations, and some even try pray to idols they can fashion with they hands? (Or stake our lives on technologies and man-made things that do little to sustain our soul cravings or answer our cries?)

But really. I don't wanna do that anymore. I can't contain God in my limitations or my intellectual vanitities. He's indescribable - I simply stand in awe with a new song in my heart.

I can't contain Him. But His love and grace enraptures me, embraces me. He comes close. My stubborn rebellion melts in His presence. I just wanna love Him with all my heart and all my life. Don't we all? Some of us just don't know it yet. That's the freedom God wants for us. To know Him, to feel His love. That's the best life - the narrow way - that all of us are scouring the ends of the earth for.

Why else is man always striving, always asking questions about this gloriously architectured universe and yet still wrestling with the pains of evil and sin? The missing puzzle is only missing because we refuse the One who made us for Himself. Our rebellion separates us.

He made us and loves us with a Love that is unequaled. He came to us to relate to us, to reveal Himself to us in a way we can grasp. I've encountered no other god or religion that has done or proposed such a scandalous thing. God came close. He is close. His name is Jesus.

The name I'll always love.
